The Lecturer Training Program is an application of Article 35 has been developed to meet the need for lecturers that has emerged with the increasing number of higher education institutions in our country and has some additional opportunities. Research assistants within the scope of LTP (ÖYP) have project and travel allowances during their education period in addition to those within the scope of Article 35 and can be assigned domestically/abroad for short periods.
The program is carried out under the coordination of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and aims to train research assistants by providing postgraduate education at the higher education institutions that have the appropriate postgraduate education programs and to meet the lecturer of the other higher education institutions by this way.
For candidates applying to the Lecturer Training Program to become research assistants or for ÖYP research assistants applying to an ÖYP university for postgraduate education as required by the program, an ÖYP score is calculated by taking 35% of the undergraduate general point average, 50% of the score received in the relevant field in the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and 15% of the foreign language score, if any, and the placement of candidates is carried out by the Council of Higher Education based on the ÖYP scores through a central system.
